Hirsch HS-Parking Lot Fence - Open to contracted pre-qualified pool for VARIOUS TRADES ONLY

Chicago Public Schools is soliciting bids for the installation of a commercial ornamental fence at Hirsch High School, located at 7740 S. Ingleside. The project scope includes installing approximately 330 linear feet of 5-foot fencing along the north and east sides of the parking lot, along with one pedestrian gate and one vehicular rolling gate. The contractor is also responsible for removing 19 existing metal posts and ensuring all work complies with CPS Section 32 31 19 specifications, ASTM A36/A36M steel standards, and ADA accessibility requirements for gate operating force and ground surfaces. Bids must be submitted electronically via EUNA/Bonfire by September 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM Chicago Time, with a public bid reading held via Google Meet. A mandatory walkthrough was scheduled for September 15, 2026. Submission requirements include a signed and completed Facilities Bid Cover Sheet and applicable warranty information. Financial and labor obligations are tiered by bid price: a 5% bid bond is required for bids over 25,000 dollars, union signatory status is required for bids over 25,000 dollars, payment and performance bond premiums must be included for bids over 50,000 dollars, and MBE/WBE documentation is mandatory for bids exceeding 75,000 dollars.
