HM-4 Safety Pedestrian Safety Enhancements (03-4G040)

Caltrans District 3 is proposing a safety improvement project titled HM-4 Safety Pedestrian Safety Enhancements to upgrade four separate crosswalks along State Route 49 in Sierra County. The work will be located between Post Mile 60.28 and 61.04 in Loyalton, California, with the primary goal of reducing the frequency and severity of pedestrian-related collisions at these intersections. All project activities will be conducted within the existing Caltrans right of way and will not require any new pavement, staging, or temporary construction easements. This forecast project is managed by the California Department of Transportation and is coordinated through the Marysville/Sacramento office.
