Chateau Mission Court, owned by Homeland Housing and located in Alberta, is a three-storey building constructed in 1981, comprising 42 bachelor lodge rooms and 53 self-contained apartments. The rooftop unit serving the third-floor common areas, installed in 1980, has reached the end of its operational life and is increasingly requiring maintenance and repairs. Furthermore, the existing preheat and reheat coils are inadequate for maintaining a comfortable temperature, causing one damper to close and resulting in negative building pressure. Consequently, the project involves replacing the rooftop unit along with associated heat exchanger components, pumps, and controls to restore proper heating and ventilation. The contract titled "Homeland Housing - Invitation to Bid - Roof Top Unit Replacement Project" was posted on January 28, 2026, with a response deadline of February 17, 2026. This federal solicitation invites qualified bidders to submit proposals addressing the replacement of the rooftop HVAC equipment for the Chateau Mission Court facility. The primary point of contact for this project is Jennifer McLeod, the contracting authority at Homeland Housing. The project aims to improve HVAC performance, extend equipment life, and enhance indoor environmental comfort for the building's occupants.

Full Description

Chateau Mission Court is owned by Homeland Housing and is approximately 44 years old. Built in 1981, Chateau Mission Court consists of 42 bachelor type lodge rooms and 53 rooms for self-contained apartment tenants. This is a three-storey building. The existing rooftop unit that supplies heating/cooling to the 3rd floor common areas is from 1980. It has reached the end of its life expectancy and is now requiring frequent maintenance/servicing/repairs. In addition, the existing preheat and reheat coils are unable to heat the supply air to a comfortable setting without closing one of the dampers, which is causing the building to have negative pressure. As a result a new heat exchanger, related pumps and controls are also to be replaced.
