This RFP is an invitation from The Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the year-round operation of the City’s Household Hazardous Waste Depot (the “Depot”) located at the City’s Solid Waste Recycling Facility (the “SWRF”). The required services include provision of customer service to residents, receipt, classification, sorting, bulking, processing, packing, management of on-site storage, preparation for shipment, loading, transportation to, diversion and/or disposal of all collected hazardous and Special Waste through licensed and City approved facilities, Depot maintenance, as further described in Appendix D - RFP Particulars and provision of a residential paint and chemical reuse service. Participation in, and diversion of Acceptable and Special Waste, through available Producer Responsibility Programs approved by the City will also be the Contractor’s responsibility.
