Full Description
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 10:00 am at office of Housing Authority of the City of Donaldsonville, located at 1501 St. Patrick Street, Donaldsonville, Louisiana 70326. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid and any alternatives and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful contractor will be required to enter into a contract with the OWNER and to furnish all the materials, perform all of the work, supervise, coordinate, administrate and be responsible for the work of the entire project. No bids may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for at least forty-five (45) days. The bond of the low bidder will be held for forty-five (45) days, or until the contract is signed, whichever is shorter. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND: A performance and payment bond for the work will be required upon execution of the contract, equal to one hundred percent (100%) of said contract written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana and who is currently on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service List. The bond shall be countersigned by a person who is under contract and who is licensed as an insurance agent in the State of Louisiana, and who is residing in this state. The Housing Authority of the City of Donaldsonville reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212 (A) (1) (b), the provisions and requirements of this section, those stated in the advertisement for bids, and those required on the bid form, shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity. Bidders must meet the requirements of the State of Louisiana Contractor’s Licensing Law, R.S. 37:2151 et seq. NOTE: BIDS SHALL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM CONTRACTORS WHO ARE LICENSED UNDER LOUISIANA CONTRACTORS LICENSING LAW FOR THE MAJOR CLASSIFICATION OF BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. The Housing Authority of the City of Donaldsonville encourages participation by Section 3 Contractors, Section 3 Subcontractors, and Section 3 Residents.
