Description: The Government has awarded two contracts for the SW region to firms based on their competence, qualifications, and background. HUD's Federal Housing Administration (FHA), Office of Multifamily Housing (MFH) Program, requires A&E firms to perform inspection services. The - Construction Inspections Services contractor will perform observations and evaluations of builders and architects on nationwide new construction projects, as well as the repair or rehabilitation of existing MFH units through each of the construction phases. The periodic field observations and evaluations performed by Construction Inspector (CI) represent HUD's MFH program office on-site, so requires the reporting of findings back to HUD. The CI will support HUD by monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on architectural and construction firms performance, monitoring compliance with architectural and construction documents, monitoring compliance with Federal standards, regulations, and HUD's guidance, and reviewing progress and documents before providing a recommendation for the release of payment withdrawals to the construction firm. The contractor will assist the architectural and construction firm's with compliance with HUD's construction administration tasks.
