RIBA Stage 1 Feasibility Study for William Aston Hall, Wrexham University

Wrexham University is seeking quotations from qualified consultants or consultant teams to conduct a RIBA Stage 1 Feasibility Study for William Aston Hall on the Plas Coch campus. This cultural and civic venue, operated with Theatr Clwyd, requires a comprehensive appraisal to develop and compare options for the auditorium, audience journey, technical theatre, backstage areas, access, inclusion, building services, and heritage constraints. The study must provide broad cost ranges, phasing advice, and delivery risks. The project is funded by the Arts Council of Wales Arts Capital Investment Fund with university match funding. The maximum budget for core Stage 1 services is 50,000 GBP including VAT, with an optional provision for RIBA Stage 2 Concept Design that could extend the contract value up to 120,000 GBP. The contract will be awarded under the RIBA Concise Professional Services Contract 2020 (2024 Amendment) based on the Most Advantageous Quote, weighted 80% on quality and 20% on price. Core services must be completed by 19 February 2027, with final project closure by 4 March 2027.
