IFB 2025-03 Demolition - Swanson Homes

The Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority (Authority) will receive electronic sealed bids for the demolition of Swanson Homes, located 1746 South Street, Portsmouth, Virginia. The 10.3-acre development is vacant. The project will require the removal of 30 existing buildings, housing a total of 210 units and one community Center. Building slabs, sidewalks, parking areas, and utilities with the site are to remain.The contractor shall verify all field conditions and dimensions prior to demolition and shall coordinate the work of any necessary trades. The contractor must be authorized to transact business in the State of Virginia as required by the Virginia State Corporation Commission.This project is Davis Bacon applicable and certified payrolls must be submitted to PRHA.A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid.A Pre-Bid conference will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority main office building located at 3116 South Street, Portsmouth, VA 23707. A walkthrough of the property will immediately follow.The IFB can also be assessed through eVA at www.eva.virginia.gov or through the Authority website at www.prha.org. Sealed bids will be received through the eVA Virginia Procurement website, www.eva.virginia.gov, until 3:00 P.M., Local Prevailing Time, on Friday, September 5, 2025.
