Full Description

This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice: The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), intends to acquire construction services for our facility at the New York Animal Import Center (NYAIC) at Rock Tavern, New York. This requirement is for maintenance repair of refractory and baffle walls in two incinerators. The incinerators are identified as Unit#1 and Unit#2. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to accomplish the work to include: 1) Obtain permitting and provide requirements needed by The Port Authority of NY +NJ (USDA is a lease holder and approvals must obtain from the Port Authority) 2) Complete repairs on incinerator at a time, before moving to the next incinerator. 3) Provide a schedule for USDA personnel to follow for the bake out of the new refractory prior to returning the units to normal service. Simplified procurement procedures will be used for this acquisition per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. It is anticipated that a single award will be made. This requirement is Total Small Business Set Aside and shall be awarded on the basis of competition limited small business firms, which is to be awarded as a fixed price contract. The estimated price range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The solicitation, #AG-32KW-S-14-0097, is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. It is anticipated that the solicitation, AG-32KW-S-14-0097, is to be released on or about July 14, 2014 and proposals will be due twenty (20) days after the release of the solicitation. The solicitation and any attachments and/or amendments will be made available electronically at the following website address (www.fedbizopps.gov). This procurement is a Small Business Set Aside, NAICS code 238290 (Small Business Size Standard - (14.0M). One may download a copy of the solicitation at www.fedbizopps.gov. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO CONTRACTORS REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR AMENDMENTS. This project is subject to the Davis Bacon Wage Rates for the area where the work is to be performed.
