INDUSTRY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT Thermal Metrology & Optical Diagnostic Cameras

The Department of War, supporting the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), has issued a presolicitation announcement for an Industry Day focused on thermal metrology and optical diagnostic cameras. The agency is seeking innovative intrusive and non-intrusive diagnostic and imaging solutions to monitor extreme temperature systems. Specifically, they are looking for capabilities in infrared, high-speed, and visible-light cameras, as well as pyrometers, spectrometers, and hyperspectral imagers to enable real-time analysis, flow visualization, debris tracking, and thermal profiling across high and low temperature regimes. This announcement is for an Industry Day event and does not constitute a formal request for proposal or invitation for bid. Interested companies must have an active System for Award Management (SAM) profile and are encouraged to submit a capability statement of no more than five pages in PDF format by October 15, 2026. Registration for the event requires the submission of the company name, CAGE code, participant details, and confirmation of US citizenship to the primary points of contact, Leslie McGowan and Zachary Dickson, by 1 p.m. Central Time on October 15, 2026. Any future procurement actions resulting from this effort will be subject to a separate announcement.
