Infrastructure - Request for Qualification - RFQ FOR Prime (Masonry) Contractor Services FOR EDMONTON – LEGISLATURE BUILDING Granite Stair Repointing and Repair

This Request for Qualification seeks a Prime Masonry Contractor to perform granite stair repointing and repair services at the Edmonton Legislature Building. The scope of work involves extensive masonry repairs on the east and west staircases, including the removal and replacement of mortar and caulking with sealant, the removal and reinstallation of granite stones with new waterproofing membranes and dowel anchors, and Dutchman repairs to existing granite. Additionally, the project requires the replacement of concrete-encased steel channels at the north and south entranceways of the east stair and the south entranceway of the west stair. The project is scheduled to take place between May and October of 2027, with a final anticipated completion date of October 15, 2027. Throughout the duration of the work, the contractor must ensure that emergency access remains available for all entrances. Interested parties must submit their responses by the deadline of September 17, 2026, to the Infrastructure agency.
