Project will lower water consumption intensity as mandated by executive order 13693 by reducing the water flows in sink faucet, kitchen faucet, showers, urinals and toilets of a 159 facilities located in Downtown area, villages and southern part of Diego Garcia. For existing urinals in good working condition they shall be used and retrofit as necessary. Low flow aerators will be installed in sink and kitchen faucets. Shower heads will be replace with low flow shower heads and displacement object will be installed in toilet tanks. Project includes associated restoration of existing interior wall, ceiling, floor slab, and finishes affected by the plumbing upgrades for the urinal, and repair/replacement of plumbing hardware not in good working condition or incompatible with higher efficiency hardware retrofit.
