Title: Installation, Operation, and Maintenance of 10MW Solar PV System in Kandahar Solicitation Number: SOL-306-15-000096 Notice Type: Pre-solicitation NAICS Code: 221114 - Solar Electric Power Generation The United States Government, represented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), intends to issue a solicitation for proposals for a new USAID Afghanistan project to install, operate, and maintain a 10MW Solar photovoltaic (PV) system in Kandahar province of Afghanistan and supply the power generated to Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) (Afghan power utility) under a fifteen (15 years power purchase agreement (PPA)). This is a joint USAID and DABS effort to meet the anticipated short term supply deficits of power in Kandahar as the Diesel Generator power subsidy being provided by the US Government draws to an end in September 2015.
