The City currently operates a mission-critical land mobile radio (LMR) system supporting public safety and municipal operations throughout the organization. The City's radio fleet consists of more than 2,500 subscriber radios deployed across multiple departments, including Police, Fire, Public Works, Water and Power, Transportation, Code Enforcement, Parks and Recreation, and other City operations. The City currently utilizes Motorola XTL Series and Motorola APX Series mobile and portable radios operating on a Motorola SmartZone® trunked radio system. These radios provide essential voice communications for emergency response, public safety, and daily municipal operations. To support ongoing fleet maintenance, equipment replacement, technology refreshes, vehicle replacements, and new deployments, the City requires qualified contractors capable of providing professional installation, removal, programming, configuration, testing, and commissioning services for two-way radio equipment and associated communications accessories. Installation services may be required on a wide variety of City-owned vehicles and equipment, including, but not limited to: Police patrol vehicles Police motorcycles Fire engines Fire trucks Ladder trucks Rescue apparatus Ambulances Battalion Chief vehicles Command vehicles Hazardous Materials (HazMat) vehicles Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) vehicles Public Works service trucks Utility trucks Water and Power service vehicles Construction and maintenance trucks Dump trucks Stake-bed trucks Flatbed trucks Pickup trucks SUVs Sedans Vans Passenger buses Shuttle buses Street sweepers Parking enforcement vehicles Traffic operations vehicles Signal maintenance vehicles Forestry and parks maintenance vehicles Heavy equipment transport vehicles Mobile command units Trailers and specialty response units Other existing and future City-owned vehicles and equipment as required.
