FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source (except brand name) The U.S. Military Academy, Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC), West Point, NY award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to acquire parts for Integrated live-fire and virtual weapons Training System. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract, and is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed contract is for the maintenance and replacement parts for the Integrated live-fire and virtual weapons Training System. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumsances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310 with the associated size standard of $7.5 million.
