The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the Phoenix Area Indian Health Service, intends to award a sole-source delivery/task order to Anovorx Distribution LLC for the supply of Anascorp (Centruroides (Scorpion) Immune F(ab’)2 (Equine) Injection) under Federal Supply Schedule contract number 36F79718D0404. This procurement, justified under FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) due to the product’s uniqueness and the absence of alternative suppliers, will support the treatment of scorpion envenomation at clinics and hospitals across the Phoenix, Tucson, and Albuquerque Areas from June 1, 2026, to April 14, 2027. Anascorp is the only FDA-licensed antivenom available for this purpose, composed of equine-derived F(ab’)2 fragments that neutralize scorpion venom toxins, and is critical for managing severe clinical symptoms such as respiratory distress, muscle control loss, and excessive salivation. Anovorx Distribution LLC is identified as the exclusive distributor and is confirmed as a small business under NAICS code 325412 for Pharmaceutical Preparation and Manufacturing. The contract is structured as a firm-fixed price delivery/task order issued under the Federal Supply Schedule, with no competitive process anticipated due to the proprietary nature of the product. The sole source determination is supported by market research confirming no other entities can supply Anascorp, and pricing has been deemed fair and reasonable through the VA FSS contract. The place of performance is Whiteriver, Arizona, 85941, although distribution will occur to multiple Indian Health Service facilities. The product is supplied in 10mL vials with NDC #66621-0150-02 and is presumed to require cold chain handling, though specific packaging, labeling, or preservation standards are not detailed. A capability statement from other potential suppliers may be submitted by June 6, 2026, to Donovan Conley at donovan.conley@ihs.gov to inform the government’s decision on competition, but submission does not obligate the government to award a contract or provide feedback. Funding is allocated under IHS1509028, with payment administered by the Phoenix Area Indian Health Service to Anovorx Distribution LLC in Memphis, Tennessee. No formal contract clauses, inspection criteria, or subcontracting
