The MCIEast Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533, hereby gives notice of their intent to award a contract to the endorsed Priest selected by the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS), on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart FAR 6.103-1, only one source reasonably available and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements.


This procurement is for the Catholic Priest to provide Roman Catholic services and religious ministries for members of the military, their dependents, and other authorized persons. The applicable NAICS for this requirement is 813110 per the Performance Work Statement. The selected Priest is the sole provider of the requested services due to holding the official endorsement from AMS. Therefore, the government intends to procure this supply on a sole source basis from the endorsed Priest.


THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within four (4) calendar days after the date of the publication of this notice, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
