The National Institutes of Health Clinical Center (NIH-CC) has issued a Notice of Intent to negotiate exclusively with Mauna Kea Technologies for maintenance and support services related to the I.V.E. Imaging System used in diagnostic bronchoscopy procedures in the Critical Care Medicine Department. This system is essential for microscopic viewing during bronchoscopies on both adult and pediatric patients, helping to enhance diagnostic capabilities and reduce turnaround times. While this is not a request for proposals, the NIH will consider capability statements from other interested responsible sources submitted by June 19, 2026, to assess if competition is warranted. The decision whether or not to compete the requirement remains at the sole discretion of the government.
