The project involves the rehabilitation of two sites in Mound and Spring Park, Minnesota, focusing on sewer infrastructure improvements. The first site entails the open cut rehabilitation of approximately 400 feet of 24-inch gravity pipe and four manholes along Shoreline Drive and Auditors Road, with special considerations due to its location within a known superfund site, requiring contaminant management if encountered. The second site includes the rehabilitation of a 10-inch forcemain pipe through pipe bursting over roughly 2,000 feet, the replacement of about 40 feet of 12-inch gravity pipe, and the installation of a 12-inch dual force main via directional drilling under Seton Channel. Both sites involve temporary pipe conveyance, traffic control, and restoration work, with Site 2 requiring tribal monitoring because of its archeological and cultural significance. The contract, titled "Interceptor Rehabilitation 6-MO-650 - 23P188," is managed by the Metropolitan Council of Minnesota, with a response deadline of February 14, 2024, and is open for bidding through the specified procurement platform.
