Interstate 10 Wildwood Canyon Road Interchange Project

The City of Yucaipa, in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation District 8 and the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority, is proposing the Interstate 10 Wildwood Canyon Road Interchange Project. This initiative involves establishing a new interchange connection on Interstate 10 at Wildwood Canyon Road in Yucaipa, California, situated between the Live Oak Canyon Road/Oak Glen Road Interchange and the County Line Road Interchange. The project scope includes the construction of new connecting roadways, the realignment of existing local roads, the installation of overcrossing bridge structures, and the protection or relocation of existing utilities. Additionally, an Advanced Signage Area will extend the project footprint from the Yucaipa Boulevard Interchange west to post mile 35.3 in San Bernardino County and east to post mile R1.1 in Riverside County. Managed under the NAICS code 237310 for highway and street construction, the project is currently in the environmental review phase with a public review period scheduled from August 14, 2026, to October 3, 2026. The Draft Environmental Impact Report and Environmental Assessment address potential impacts on biological resources, aesthetics, greenhouse gas emissions, and wetlands. Mitigation measures have been identified to address these environmental effects. The project is being led by Caltrans District 8, with coordination involving various trustee and review agencies to ensure project-level conformity and environmental compliance.
