The Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System, an agency of the Department of Justice, entered into a sole-source contract with Eagle Aviation Resources Ltd, doing business as Atlantic Aviation, for the into-plane delivery of aviation fuels. Under solicitation DJM-16-A37-Q-0003 and NAICS code 424720, the agreement covers the purchase of approximately 93,000 gallons of Jet A fuel. The contract is valued at an estimated 297,600.00 dollars and spans a period of performance from October 1, 2015, through September 30, 2016. The award was justified under FAR Part 13 due to Atlantic Aviation's unique position as the Fixed Base Operator where the JPATS Las Vegas operation is located at McCarran International Airport. The government determined that Atlantic Aviation was the only supplier capable of meeting the agency's needs without causing unacceptable delays, increasing taxiing costs, or creating security risks.
