This solicitation, issued by the Department of Defense Aviation office in Philadelphia, is for the procurement of aircraft inverters. The contract is a fixed-price agreement for commercial or off-the-shelf items that must be repaired, tested, and inspected according to specific requirements. Key technical constraints include a strict prohibition on the use of MIL-W-81381 wire, requiring the use of SAE-AS22759 series wire instead, and a requirement for personnel to be certified under IPC/EIAJ-STD-001C if MIL-STD-454 is referenced. Eligibility for award is strictly limited to government-approved sources of supply. Distributors must provide an authorized distributor letter on the source's letterhead at the time of proposal submission to avoid being deemed technically unacceptable. Additionally, offerors must demonstrate an acceptable level of past performance as documented in SPRS or FAPIIS. The solicitation is being processed under Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities, with a response deadline of September 10, 2026.
