The contract pertains to the extension of an existing agreement (Contract C000056) between the New York State Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) and Levi, Ray, & Schoup, Inc., for the provision of maintenance and support services related to mainframe utility software at the NYS Data Center. The seventh amendment to this contract was granted an exemption from the usual advertising requirements under Section 144(2)(e) of the Economic Development Law, based on a sole-source award to Levi, Ray, & Schoup, Inc., which is the only authorized provider for these specific services. The contract covers perpetual site licenses for software that facilitates printing formatted documents on standard printers, reducing reliance on costly proprietary printers. The agreement is set to run from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2028, and applies across all New York State counties, with an end date for the current advertisement notice of January 9, 2024. The procurement process was classified as a sole-source award, emphasizing that Levi, Ray, & Schoup, Inc. is uniquely qualified to provide these services without the need for competitive bidding. The contract's solicitation number is 2105166, and the project falls under NAICS code 323111. The primary contact for inquiries is Timothy Kennedy, reachable via email or phone. The contract's details and related notices are publicly accessible through the New York State Contract Reporter, ensuring transparency despite the exemption from standard advertising procedures.
