BC Housing Management Commission has issued a public Invitation to Tender (ITT 1070-2526-258) for the replacement of the roof at Hall Towers Extension, located at 7264 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC. The project involves the demolition and installation of a conventionally insulated 2-ply membrane roofing system covering six separate roof areas as outlined in the provided specifications and drawings. Work will take place on the building’s exterior, which is 13 storeys high, with no elevator access available for materials; therefore, the contractor must arrange for cranes or hoists to move materials. Scaffolding will not be permitted. The roofing system must carry an RCABC guarantee. A mandatory site visit and information meeting is scheduled for February 11, 2026, at 11:00 am, with attendance required for bid consideration. Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory during the site visit. All bids must be submitted electronically through BC Bid before the February 26, 2026 deadline, with questions to be submitted no later than February 17, 2026. The ITT timetable is tentative and may be updated with addenda issued by February 19, 2026. Notably, suppliers based in the United States are excluded from participating unless exceptions are granted by BC Housing in the absence of reasonable alternatives. This restriction must be enforced throughout the contract’s supply chain, with compliance demonstrated upon request. Bidders are responsible for monitoring BC Bid for any updates. The contract is managed by BC Housing under the Government of Canada and directed by Contracting Authority Yvonne Ghik.
