Full Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A request for quotation is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a 100% small business set aside and The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 423410 with small business size standard is 100 employees. The solicitation number is SSA-RFQ-R08-10-1008. The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking quotations for a Turnkey System for Studio C in the Region 7 office located in Kansas City, MO. This requirement is for brand name equipment and installation/configuration of the equipment and other components. This acquisition is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The following brand name equipment is required: Quantity Item 1 NewTek Tricaster TCXD850 (NOTE: This is an upgrade from NewTek VT5 to NewTek Tricaster TCXD850) 1 NewTek Live Text External CD Software 3 Ikan 7" HD/SDI LCD Monitor VX7P 3 Ikan 6"Articulating Monitor MA206 3 Manfrotto 504HD Head with 546B 2-Stage Aluminum Tripod System 3 Camplex PRO-X2 HD/SDI signal multiplexer 3 Camplex docking adapter DAK-P-AG-HVX170 2 Camplex RM-X1 rack mount adapter 1 Camplex BP-X1 rack mount blank plate 1 Cables and Connectors BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION: SSA has a requirement for a Turnkey System. The brand name items outlined above are needed to ensure successful installation, configuration and integration with the broadcast control rooms existing equipment. It has been determined the brand name items are compatible with the Studio's digital upgrade and current operation. Therefore, only brand name products will satisfy the government's need. The Offeror shall provide all labor, equipment, and supplies to produce a Turnkey system. The Offeror shall include in its quote the price for installation/configuration for the above items and additional parts that are not a part of this requirement (e.g. Camcorder, varizoom controller, dolly, prompter proline teleprompter, and speakers). In addition, Include warranty information for each item. The FAR Clauses and provisions that apply to this acquisition by reference are FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror-Commercial Items, and FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items. The FAR Clauses that apply and attached to this notice are FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The Offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its quote if the information is not available on-line at the ORCA website. Delivery location is SSA, Region 7, 601 E 12th Street, Room G31, Kansas City, MO 64106. The Installation date will be arranged with the Studio Manager after award. FOB Destination only Offeror shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award.
