Scripps Institution of Oceanography built the Simple Tomographic Acoustic Receivers under contract from the Office of Naval Research to support the ocean acoustic scientific community. Alternate vendors would be cost prohibitive, as they would also require additional funding and a longer timeline to design and build the equipment, or alter existing equipment to be compatible with our mooring requirements.Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.
