This contract pertains to the annual synopsis of a Repair Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00104-09-G-A755 with Rolls Royce Naval Marine, focusing on the evaluation and repair of various Oil Distribution Boxes and Controllable Pitch Propeller Hubs. The contract covers repair orders issued by NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support from June 30, 2014, through September 30, 2014. The work is directed under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, allowing the government to negotiate and solicit repair services from a single source due to the lack of sufficient data to compete the repair items. The contract includes a list of National Item Identification Numbers (NIINs) associated with the reparable components. Although this notice serves as a pre-solicitation synopsis and is not a formal request for competitive proposals, all responsible sources are invited to express interest or submit capability statements within a specified timeframe—45 days or 30 days for awards under the existing BOA. The government retains sole discretion to decide whether to pursue competitive procurement based on the responses received. The execution of repair orders under this BOA supports the Navy’s logistical and maintenance efforts for critical propulsion components, ensuring operational readiness by maintaining essential shipboard equipment in optimal condition.
