This is a special notice of intent to extend the current contract on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Reasonable Source and No Other Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements,to Brown International Corp., 2103 West Ferry Way #A, Huntsville, AL 35801-5334 for Command Post Maintenance for a four (4) month period from 8 Dec 2013 through 7 April 2014. This extension is necessary because a competitive follow-on contract to continue services beyond 7 December 2013 is not yet in place. At this point, it would be most advantageous to the Government to modify the current contract which would allow services to continue uninterrupted until a new contract is in place. This special notice of intent to extend the current contract is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation for offers. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A response to this notice is not required.
