J--Engineering and Technical Services, upgrades, and overhauls for Isotta Fraschini (IF) diesel engines, procurement of IF diesel engines, and training for IF diesel engines, on MCM and MHC Class Ship

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to procure: full service contractor support including engineering and technical services and associated supplies and material including consumables, repair parts, and replacement parts for Isotta Fraschini ID36SS6V-AM and ID366SS8V-AM diesel engines and Integrated Fluid Variator Gear Boxes on MCM-1 and MHC-51 Class Ships; replacement IF engines for MCM-1 and MCM-2 in order to standardize the diesel engines in MCM-1 and MHC-51 Class ships; upgrades and overhauls for IF diesel engines in MCM-1 and MHC-51 Class ships; and training for IF diesel engines in MCM-1 and MHC-51 Class ships. The base period of performance will be 12 months with 4 option years. The solicitation will be issued to FDGM, Inc., 800 Principle Court, Chesapeake, VA 23320 since it is the only supplier which possesses the proprietary rights, detailed design knowledge, access to manufacturing drawings, manufacturing history, and readily available factory parts, that will meet the Navy's requirements.
