This contract is issued under a sole source procurement authority, meaning the Government intends to negotiate exclusively with one source without competitive bidding due to the unique nature of the part and the associated data rights. The solicitation is managed by the Department of Defense’s Navsup Weapon Systems Support office in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and is categorized as a presolicitation with no set-aside type specified. Interested entities can access related Military and Federal specifications, standards, and other documentation through designated DoD channels like the DoD Single Stock Point or ASSIST-Online. While the contract is not a request for competitive proposals, any submissions received within 45 days (or 30 days if under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement) will be reviewed.
