The Department of the Interior, acting on behalf of the National Park Service at Valley Forge National Historical Park, intends to award a sole source contract to Siemens Industry, Inc. for the licensing, software support, and maintenance of the visitor center's proprietary intrusion and access control system. This requirement includes the management of employee Personal Identity Verification card access for secure facility entry. Because the existing system is proprietary to Siemens and was installed during a recent rehabilitation project, the government has determined that Siemens is the only vendor capable of providing these services. The contract will be awarded under NAICS Code 513210 for Software Publishers and is unrestricted as the identified vendor is not a small business. This notice serves as an intent to sole source rather than a formal solicitation, and any interested parties must submit documentation of their capabilities to the primary point of contact by September 11, 2026. The government will use this information to determine if a competitive procurement is necessary for future requirements.
