Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Applied Research Associates Inc. (ARA), 4300 San Mateo Blvd NE, Suite A220, Albuquerque, NM under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(iii), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." This requirement is for maintenance of Unconventional Nuclear Warfare Defense (UNWD) radiation detection and peripheral equipment at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, North Carolina. The sensor systems were developed by Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) as part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) proof-of-concept UNWD program. ARA maintains proprietary rights to software and other data. A formal solicitation was not developed but the informal Request for Proposal (M67001-09-R-0006) will be provided upon request. Interested firms may submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement. All responsible sources may submit a response which if timely received, must be considered by the agency. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency.
