The contract involves the procurement of a single hydraulic manifold, identified by NSN 7H-4730-014346012 and TDP version 001, to be delivered FOB origin to Vacco Industries in South El Monte, California. This notice is a preliminary communication from the government indicating their intent to negotiate with only one source, rather than soliciting competitive bids. However, interested parties can express their interest and submit quotes, which the government will consider prior to making an award. The decision not to open the contract to competitive bidding rests solely with the government, based on the responses received. This action is initiated by the Department of Defense's Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mechanic office in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, under solicitation number N0010412PCB19. The requirement arises because the government lacks sufficient, accurate, or legible data to purchase this part from any source other than the current one. The contract is related to repair or modification services for the hydraulic manifold, and although it is posted as a presolicitation, no set-aside status or specific NAICS code has been designated. The government’s intent is to proceed with a sole-source negotiation to ensure continuity and accuracy of supply for this specialized component.
