The Marine Corps Systems Command awarded a sole source contract to General Dynamics, C4 Systems, Integrated Switching Systems, 7090 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite 150, Columbia, MD 21046 for product line and life cycle management activities for the Distributed Scalable AccessNet (DSAN). Sustainment efforts will include post production support to include: Program and Configuration Management; Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS); documentation maintenance; engineering studies; Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs); component obsolescence oversight; Vendor Level Maintenance; Government Furnished Property (GFP) Maintenance; follow-on hardware procurement; training; and help desk support. The justification permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." General Dynamics is the designer, developer, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and sole producer of the DSAN system.
