The government intends to issue a firmed fixed priced contract for the correction of alignment and location positioning failures along with rebuilding and replacing certain components for the Stacker Storage and Retrieval System at the Watervliet Army Arsenal, NY. Period of Performance is within 180 day from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The NAICS code is 333924 with an associated size standard of 500 employees. The procurement will be set aside 100% for Small Businesses as referenced by FAR 5.207(d). This solicitation will be issued electronically, free of charge, therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Upon release of the solicitation, it will be available on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) at https://acquisition.army.mil and will be listed under Watervliet Arsenal. It is also available online at the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov under the reference number W911PT-10-R-0002 on or about 24 Nov 09. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued.
