This is a pre-solicitation notice. NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound will be soliciting for AC plant and refrigeration repair services and materials performed onboard a forward deployed vessel at U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) Det. Sasebo, Japan. This acquisition will be negotiated on a sole source basis with Johnson Controls, Inc. (York), the original equipment manufacturer, per FAR 6.302-1. The period of performance is 05~27 June 2018. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to the offer due date, which will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted to the GPE on or about 18 April 2018 with quotes due by 24 April 2018. This firm-fixed-price service type contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Subpart 13.5, utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation procedures.
