The General Services Administration Public Building Service conducted a Streamlined Competition under the revised OMB Circular A-76 to evaluate the mechanical maintenance commercial activity services at various field offices and border stations within the Rocky Mountain Region. The competitive sourcing initiative, certified by the Competitive Sourcing Official, Agency Tender Official, and Contracting Officer, resulted in decisions to retain in-house performance at several locations including Huron, Bozeman, Salt Lake City, Pierre, Sioux Falls, and Ambrose/Portal. These sites involve a total of nine full-time equivalents (FTEs). Conversely, it was determined more cost effective to contract out the work at Denver, Pembina, and Dunsieth/St. John, impacting four FTEs. The outcomes are final and not subject to contest as per the terms outlined in OMB Circular A-76 dated May 29, 2003. The contract relates to mechanical maintenance services under NAICS code 811310 and is managed by the PBS R8 Portfolio Management Division in Denver, Colorado. The point of contact for further information includes Contract Specialist Albert R Lubran and Contracting Officer Dannie Crowder, who can be reached through specified phone and email channels. This streamlined competition reflects the agency’s efforts to optimize cost efficiency and service delivery across its facilities in the Rocky Mountain Region through a formal and certified competitive process.
