Full Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, on behalf of Fayetteville VA Medical Center, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm Fixed-Price contract for regular scheduled preventive maintenance on Caterpillar equipment in accordance with A§3304{a)(l) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. The Performance Work Statement of the equipment list for the seven units is as follows: Manufacturer Model # Caterpillar 3406 Caterpillar 3406 Caterpillar C15 Caterpillar C15 Caterpillar D175-3 Kohler 180REOZJG Kohler 150REOZJG The Government intends to award a one-year (1) contract. The applicable NAICS Code is 811310 (Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance) with a size standard of $12.5 million. The corresponding Product Service Code is J059. Contractor must be able to provide all labor, tools, materials, parts, equipment and supervision necessary to perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on the referenced equipment at the VA Medical Center, 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC. This will include Tri-annual, annual, and quarterly inspections/and parts replacements in a manner that ensures safe and continuous operation of all covered equipment in accordance with commercial practices and manufacturer s specifications and recommendations. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that these services are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date on or about 01 June 2023 to Caterpillar Inc., 2936 Notchview Ct., Charlotte, NC 28210. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals.
