The Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, intends to award a sole source contract to Skytron, LLC, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for preventive maintenance and repairs of proprietary Skytron Lights and Booms. Due to the unique, proprietary design of this equipment, Skytron is deemed the only responsible source capable of properly maintaining and repairing the devices critical for patient care. This contract is being pursued under the regulatory allowance FAR 6.302-1, which permits non-competitive negotiation when only one supplier can fulfill the requirement. The maintenance services will be conducted at the VA Medical Center’s Indianapolis location, and the acquisition falls under NAICS code 811310, with a business size standard of $11 million. Potential interested parties who believe they can meet the necessary capabilities are invited to express their interest and submit capabilities information by noon EST on October 17, 2022. This notice is not a solicitation for bids or quotations but rather an opportunity for the Government to consider alternatives before proceeding. All submissions must be provided at no cost or obligation and addressed to the designated Contract Specialist, Andrea J. McKinney. The Government retains full discretion to proceed with sole source award to Skytron if no qualified responses are received or if it determines competition is not appropriate based on the responses. If no alternative suppliers are identified, the contract negotiation with Skytron will move forward without a competitive process.
