Notice Type: Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 8 intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price task order (base plus four option years) to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., for full-service maintenance and repair of Siemens Healthcare diagnostic imaging systems located within the Diagnostic Imaging Service at multiple North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System locations, under the authority of FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B). The NAICS code is 334517 (Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing).

Purpose and Objectives: Siemens is the original manufacturer and the only source with authorized access to proprietary software, diagnostic tools, service passwords, and OEM-certified parts required to properly service these imaging systems. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. Interested parties may submit clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government by emailing Heidi Parrish, Contracting Officer, at heidi.parrish@va.gov no later than 4:30 PM ET on August 31, 2026. A decision not to compete this requirement is solely at the Government s discretion. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with responses to this notice. The anticipated award date is October 1, 2026.
A class justification for an exception to fair opportunity is in place for this requirement.
