AI Contract Overview
The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 8 intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price task order to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. for the full-service maintenance and repair of diagnostic imaging systems. This contract covers a base year plus four option years and applies to equipment at multiple North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System locations, including the Gainesville and Lake City VA Medical Centers. The scope includes the servicing of Intevo Bold, Stellant Flex, Magnetom Area Mobile MRI, and Symbia Pro.specta X3 systems. Siemens is designated as the sole source because they are the original manufacturer with exclusive access to proprietary software, diagnostic tools, and OEM-certified parts. This arrangement is intended to ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness while avoiding risks associated with non-OEM providers. Interested parties may submit evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government to Contracting Officer Heidi Parrish by August 31, 2026. The anticipated award date for this requirement is October 1, 2026.
