Notice Type: Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 8 intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price task order (base plus four option years) to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., for full-service maintenance and repair of Siemens Healthcare diagnostic imaging systems located within the Diagnostic Imaging Service at multiple North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System locations, under the authority of FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B). Purpose and Objectives: Siemens is the original manufacturer and the only source with authorized access to proprietary software, diagnostic tools, service passwords, and OEM-certified parts required to properly service these imaging systems.
