AI Contract Overview
The Department of Veterans Affairs, through Network Contracting Office 20, is conducting market research via a Sources Sought Notice to identify qualified sources capable of providing comprehensive preventative maintenance and repair services for an Illumina NextSeq 2000 Sequencing System located at the Boise VA Medical Center in Idaho. The intended contract, if issued, would be a firm-fixed price agreement spanning a base year with four optional years, requiring one annual on-site preventative maintenance visit, control software and hardware updates, a guaranteed two-business-day response time for service calls, full coverage of on-site labor, parts, and travel expenses, and 18 hours per day of remote technical support Monday through Friday. All services must be performed exclusively by authorized and factory-certified Illumina technicians, with contractors required to provide evidence of OEM training certification and a formal letter from Illumina confirming their status as an authorized dealer, distributor, or reseller, ensuring that all service, warranty, and software support aligns with the manufacturer’s terms and conditions. Respondents must also demonstrate compliance with subcontracting limitations under both VAAR 852.219-75 and FAR 52.219-14, affirming that no more than 50 percent of the contract value paid by the government will be awarded to non-similarly situated subcontractors. Business size determination is based on NAICS Code 325413 with a size standard of 1,250 employees, and responses must include company information, SAM UEI, point of contact details, and disclosure of any existing federal contracts such as GSA FSS or NASA SEWP. The notice explicitly states no obligation for the government to award a contract or pay for information submitted, and all responses must be submitted via email no later than July 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM Mountain Time to the designated contracting officer. No formal solicitation exists at this time, and no evaluation factors, award basis, pricing details, or contract administration data such as payment office, invoice method, or COR assignment have been established.
