The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District, intends to award a sole source contract to HRP North America, Inc. for the procurement of four transmitters for the vessel CURRITUCK. This action is being conducted under the statutory authority of FAR 6.302-1(c) Brand Name, as HRP transmitters are the only direct replacements compatible with the vessel's existing control system. Utilizing a different manufacturer would necessitate a full replacement of the control system, resulting in costs that exceed the price of the specified transmitters. The contract, identified by solicitation number W912HN-10-P-0167, falls under NAICS code 333612. While the award is intended for HRP North America, Inc., the agency is accepting capability statements, proposals, or quotations from all responsible sources.
