SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS/QUOTATIONS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT to procure the following service/material: The contractor shall provide a system version upgrade to latest shipping release of the existing wide area, trunked, Japan Joint Land Mobile Radio (J2LMR) system and all related services included project management, systems engineering services, system design, system staging, equipment programming, equipment installation and optimization, acceptance testing, training, warranty, information assurance support and maintenance support. The United States Marine Corps Regional Contracting Office intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price soles source contract to Motorola Solutions, Inc., 809 Pinnacle Dr Ste G Linthicum Heights, MD, 21090-2535, United States with FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). Motorola Solutions, Inc. is the sole source to provide the service/material because they are the proprietary source that can provide this service/material. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334220. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. Information received from interested parties will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this electronic notice must be made by 10:00 a.m. Japan Standard Time (JST) on 19 August, 2016.
