Sealed bids for Bid Request No. 2024-033 for the Johnson County JCAX Track Rehabilitation Project shall be submitted electrically via IonWave at https://jocogov.ionwave.net until the close date reflected above. At that time, all bids that have been duly received will be publicly read aloud via Zoom Video Conferencing at: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88509029694?pwd=Z62cW95jHOq0MvaNz0C38kIhzrR9jg.1 Meeting ID: 885 0902 9694 Passcode: 728823 This bid includes the following Work: Remove and replace approximately 9,500 track feet of relay rail with two (2) turnouts and install approximately 800 track feet of new rail with two (2) turnouts, all meeting FRA Class 1 specifications and applicable AREMA standards, including all materials, labor, equipment, supervision, and any and all other items necessary to complete the Work. Copies of the plans and specifications are available through IonWave at https://jocogov.ionwave.net/SourcingEvents.aspx?SourceType=1 or can be downloaded for a non-refundable fee online at https://www.drexeltech.com in their eDistribution public jobs plan room; additional assistance is available at contact@example.gov. A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will be held on September 26, 2024, at 2:00PM CT, in the Board Room located in the Admin Building, New Century AirCenter, One New Century Parkway, New Century, Kansas. Technical questions and requests for clarification shall be submitted via IonWave no later than 5:00PM CT on October 3, 2024, to allow adequate time to issue an addendum, if needed. Bidders shall submit the following with their bid:
Bid Bond: Bidders shall submit with their bid a bid bond issued by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Kansas in the amount of five percent (5.0%) of the total amount of their bid. Said guarantee shall be made payable to the Board of County Commissioners of Johnson County, Kansas.
Qualifications: refer to Section 20-02 of the Project Manual for specified documentation
No bid may be withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening.
