JTRS Ground Adaptor Kit

ADM(MAT), on behalf of the RCAF, has identified a requirement to procure commercially available power supplies, rack‑mount cooling equipment, and factory‑terminated cabling to support the operation of JTRS Platform I radios in fixed-site Link 16 operational and training environments. The purpose of this procurement is to enable JTRS Platform I radios to operate outside pre‑integrated rack solutions by providing the necessary ancillary hardware for power distribution, thermal management, and external connectivity, without including installation, system integration, testing, or certification. JTRS Platform I radios require external DC power conversion, forced‑air cooling capable of supporting both the radio and its associated power supply in a single 19‑inch rack, and standardized power, data/control, and human‑machine interface cabling manufactured in accordance with recognized military and aerospace construction practices. Some required cable assemblies rely on controlled U.S. Government interface specifications, limiting eligible suppliers to those with existing authorization. The procurement also includes external rack‑mountable DC power supplies capable of delivering nominal 280 VDC at continuous duty and rack‑compatible multi‑fan cooling assemblies rated for sustained high‑power transmission. Deliverables consist of 20 DC power supply units, 20 rack‑mount cooling trays, and 20 complete sets of factory‑terminated power, data/control, timing, and HMIG cables as defined in the specification.
