The contract seeks information on the availability of an automated system designed to bleach wash, rinse, and dry honeycomb sheets used in the mass rearing of pink bollworm moths. These honeycomb sheets measure 16 by 23 inches, weigh approximately 125 grams each, and are made from Nomex paper treated with resin. The proposed equipment must handle 10 sheets per minute on a conveyor belt moving at around 22 feet per minute and include four sequential stations: a 5% bleach wash, a high-pressure rinse, a low-pressure rinse, and a high-pressure air drying station. Each liquid delivery station must recycle its fluids with sizeable tank capacities, and the system's handling bed must be positioned at a specific height. A fiberglass hood with an exhaust fan is required to remove bleach fumes from the system. This request is purely informational and not a solicitation for proposals or a commitment to award a contract. Responses must include company contact information, a brief narrative, and an annotated briefing, with submissions accepted via email or physical delivery within five days of the notice. Both U.S. and international firms may respond, with the government treating submitted proprietary information securely and not using it to restrict competition.
