The Williams and Tusayan Ranger Districts on the Kaibab National Forest in northern Arizona require this mission essential contract for timber stand improvement which includes thinning and fuels reduction. This work is required to promote forest health encourage growth of trees contribute to timber production and reduce wildfire risk to the timber resources and neighboring communities. Hazardous fuels and timber production aligns with the Presidents Executive Order 14225 Immediate Expansion of American Timber Production (3/1/2025) and related USDA Secretarial Memo 1078-006 (4/3/2025).
