The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center intends to award a sole source, fixed price requirements contract to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Inc. for the procurement and repair of KIV-6 Cryptographic COMSEC modules. These modules are critical components of the Combined Interrogator Transponder Identification Friend or Foe System. The estimated quantity over a two year period includes the procurement of 44 units and the repair of 50 units, with delivery expected within 12 months for production and 30 days for repairs. Because the government does not possess the necessary technical data or drawings, the action is being pursued as a sole source procurement under specific federal acquisition regulations and international agreements. The government aimed for an award by June 2017. Interested firms capable of meeting these requirements were invited to submit their capabilities and business status to the contract specialist for consideration.
