Full Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT to procure the following service: Test support of Scenario-Based Security/Threat and Mitigation Assessment of Commercial Aircraft Least Risk Bomb Location (LRBL) Procedures Validation The period of performance is 1 year from the date of the award. Service and maintenance will be at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract (as prescribed in the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1) to Boeing, Inc., 5301 Bolsa Avenue, M/C H017, Huntington Beach, CA 92647-9755. Boeing, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of the DC-9 aircraft being tested, and is the only contractor capable of providing the support testing on this proprietary equipment. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330 and the Business Size Standard is $35,000,000. Posting date of this requirement is 23 August, 2012. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, 27 August, 2012. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This award is being made by the U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground Tenant Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013.
