The U.S. Census Bureau intends to award a sole source contract to Mr. Donald Danbury to provide expert advice and assistance in reviewing revised project plans, assessing the current system configuration for potential modifications, and offering ongoing system management expertise for a large-scale computer cluster. The contract is being considered under the Federal Acquisitions Regulation, parts addressing sole source justifications. While responses from other sources demonstrating their technical capabilities, pricing, and ability to fulfill the requirements are invited, no solicitation or request for proposals has been issued, and no contract will be awarded solely based on unsolicited offers. Responses must be submitted within 15 days to the Census Bureau Acquisition Division for consideration of alternative sources, but absent any compelling proposals, the contract will be awarded to Mr. Danbury.
